Why is the Professional Serum pink? Professional Serum contains phenolsulfonphthalein (a pH indicator) which is reddish/dark pink. As each batch of protein mix may have slight differences in acidity or alkalinity, the color can range from light yellow/orange to light red/dark pink. This is within our acceptable range.
It is recommended to keep CALECIM® Professional products in cool conditions, not exceeding 33°C or 91.4°F. Please discontinue usage of the product if the color appears to be different from the stated acceptable range and contact us at customerservice@calecim.com.
Why is there a smell to the Multi-Action Cream or Professional Serum? Both the Multi-Action Cream and Professional Serum are fragrance-free. The smell comes from the high concentration of active ingredients, mainly Cord Lining extract, in the formulation. The smell disappears soon after the application and most users don’t notice it after a few minutes.
Why does my Multi-Action Cream or Professional Serum look and smell different from the last one? The extract derived from each batch of Cord Lining is slightly different. This results in slight differences in color and smell in the end product because of the high concentration of active ingredients used.
When can I start seeing results? Multi-Action Cream supplies the skin nutrients that aid and boosts the restoration of your skin’s renewal cycle back to 28 days. This process is known as the skin-cycle reset and may take two to four weeks for results to take effect. Optimal results can usually be observed after 90 days.
When Professional Serum is used after in-clinic procedures, the calming and soothing effect is usually quite rapid with patients experiencing some amounts of decreased redness, swelling, and discomfort within 15 minutes of application.
Can I use CALECIM® Professional with Retin-A, types of Retinols, types of Vitamin C, AHAs, BHAs, and anti-oxidants? How do I incorporate CALECIM® Professional into my regimen with these other active ingredients? CALECIM® Professional works well with the most active ingredients commonly used in other skincare. Your skincare should be layered according to the viscosity of the product. Water-based products should be applied first (like toners, and watery serums), followed by gel-like textures. Light creams can be applied after, followed by heavier creams. For AM regimens, sunblock should be applied last.
Is this safe to use immediately after a skin procedure? It depends on how ablative your procedure was. All creams/serums/gels should only be applied to skin that has fully epithelized.
Can I use CALECIM® Professional products if I have acne? While the occasional pimple may be part of the natural process of skin renewal, you should avoid the use of any CALECIM® Professional skincare if you have active acne. Your doctor or dermatologist will be able to ascertain whether you are a suitable candidate for the product.
Can I use CALECIM® Professional products if I am breastfeeding or pregnant? Yes, CALECIM® Professional products are safe for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. However, we highly recommend that you consult your obstetrician/gynecologist before starting any new skincare routine.
